Stowmarket Half


The perfect half marathon in rural Suffolk countryside is hosted by Stowmarket Striders Running Club and is kindly sponsored by local business Tomlinson Groundcare.


Chip Timed and held under UKA rules.


The Half Marathon race is open to all entrants aged 17 years or older on race day with a course suitable for racing wheelchairs. The route takes in some of Suffolk's quietest rural country roads through undulating scenic countryside. 


Course records: Mens - Aaron Scott (Notts AC) 1:09.17 (2016);  Womens - Odette Robson (Saint Edmunds Pacers) 1:20:54 (2015)


All runners completing the 13.1 miles receive a memento.


Prizes will be awarded to:

1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female winners

Male Vet 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70+
Female Vet 35, 40, 45, 50 , 55, 60, 65+

Certificate of course accuracy SEAA | Licence no. applied for.


Stowmarket Scenic 7


The most picturesque 7 mile race in Suffolk! The Stowmarket Striders Scenic 7 is a relatively flat 7 mile course with only a couple of undulations. The course starts at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre and heads out through Onehouse and Harleston then makes a three-mile loop back to Harleston before returning along the same route through Onehouse and back to the finish. 


Prizes will be awarded to:-

1st male & female
2nd male & female
3rd male & female

1st male for the categories Vets over 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 & 65+
1st female for the categories Vet over 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 & 65+

Team Prizes: Men's and Ladies - 3 to score.


A memento will be available to all finishers. 

Open to competitors aged 16 or over on the day of the race.
